Spotlight: Lauren Davis of Real Zen

We have recently had the pleasure of representing a real estate investment guru and owner/founder of Real Zen, Lauren Davis. She has used real estate investment to redesign her life and provide herself with financial freedom to spend more time with family.

When she bought her most recent investment using Gather Homes, she used a 1031 exchange. This is a great tax benefit where you can roll the sale of one investment property into a new investment property (of equal or greater value) without incurring capital gains at the sale. It’s a great way to help you build up your investment portfolio for qualified sales and purchases. Just make sure you’re working with your accountant and a 1031 specialist because these exchanges have rules and strict timelines to qualify.

Before creating Real Zen, Lauren taught strategies in strategic thinking and solving complex problems to graduate students.
